About the Role: Our client is urgently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Factory Accountant to manage the full accounting function at their production facility.
The role requires a strong understanding of financial management, stock control, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.

Competitive Salary: R720,000 per annumOversee and improve the financial operations of a fast-paced production environment.Develop skills in a leadership role while contributing to key financial decisions.Engage with various departments and senior management to drive business success.Key Responsibilities: Full responsibility for the accounting function, including the preparation of financial statements and management of the general ledger.Ensure compliance with stock control measures and oversee inventory management.Liaise with internal and external auditors during audits.Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and treasury functions to maintain financial stability.Monitor cash flows, interpret financial trends, and predict future financial needs.Prepare statutory reports for VAT, income tax, and PAYE, and ensure legal regulations are adhered to.Lead and supervise a finance team, ensuring effective support for day-to-day financial activities.Analyse financial data to assess business performance and advise on cost-saving opportunities.Assist in the integration of new businesses and ad-hoc group projects.Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Proven experience as a management accountant in a manufacturing or production environment.Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations.Extensive experience with Sage Evolution and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).In-depth understanding of financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting.Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
