Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) Engineer - De AarOverview: As a Factory Acceptance Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that equipment and systems meet specified requirements before they are delivered to the customer.
You will conduct rigorous testing procedures and document results to ensure that products meet quality, safety, and performance standards. Key Responsibilities: 1.
Planning and Preparation: •Review project specifications, technical drawings, and requirements to understand testing scope. •Develop FAT protocols, test plans, and acceptance criteria based on project requirements. 2.
Testing Execution: •Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) on equipment, systems, or components according to established protocols. •Perform functional tests, performance tests, safety tests, and reliability tests as per project specifications. •Record test procedures, observations, and results accurately. 3.
Documentation and Reporting: •Prepare comprehensive test reports detailing test procedures, results, deviations, and recommendations. •Document non-conformities and work with engineering teams to resolve issues identified during testing. 4.
Quality Assurance: •Ensure adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices during testing. •Verify that equipment and systems meet all specified technical and performance criteria. 5.
Collaboration and Communication: •Coordinate with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and customers to schedule and conduct FAT activities. •Communicate test results, findings, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders. 6.
Continuous Improvement: •Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance testing procedures, efficiency, and effectiveness. •Provide feedback on design improvements based on testing outcomes and customer feedback. Required Skills and Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field). •Proven experience in factory acceptance testing, quality assurance, or a similar role within manufacturing or engineering industries. •Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, protocols, and equipment. •Familiarity with testing tools and instruments used in quality control and assurance. •Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and identify root causes. •Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail. •Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels. Preferred Qualifications: •Certification in Quality Management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer) is a plus. •Experience with testing standards and regulations relevant to the industry (e.g., ISO standards). •Knowledge of automation systems, PLCs, and control systems.
