Reference: 9928 MLR Consultant: Michellele Roux Job Description: Oversee, manage and maintain all areas relating to maintenance, so as to ensure effective hotel operational requirementsPlan, supervise and conduct the maintenance and service schedules of relevant hotel equipment and fleet of vehicles within the groupWork closely with the relevant Hotel Managers, Group Operational Manager and Heads of Departments to ensure all maintenance requests are resolved in a timely fashion, with excellent record-keeping and efficient feedbackDevelop a preventative maintenance program that ensures compliance with all relevant warrantees, safety legislation and maintenance best practiceEnsure the secure and safe usage of all equipment itemsManage, train, guide and develop the staff in their required skillsEnsure that malfunctioning equipment is repaired and brought back online in the minimum down-timeMaintain a thorough stock level of frequently used equipment, supplies and relevant itemsMaintain inspection, stock control and purchasing recordsObtain best price quotes from reliable suppliers and build a base of approved service providersPreparing annual Maintenance budgets, including any purchasing for machinery or other CAPEX items, maintaining existing materials and machinery, and labourEnsure, enforce and maintain Health and Safety standardsQualifications: Grade 12- Matric CertificateTertiary qualification in Facilities/Maintenance/Engineering or related field beneficialValid Driver's licenseLocal candidates residing in Franschhoek and surrounds would be advantageousMinimum of 5 years of Facilities/Maintenance Manager experienceHotel or property maintenance experience would be advantageousProficient in the use of MS officePlanning, process excellence and service deliveryExperience with CAPEX & Operational budgetingExperience with preventative maintenance planning and executionFocused on quality and attention to detail with innovation ideas to bring about change and resultsTeamwork, cross organisational collaboration and building high performance teamsManaging a large teamHow to Apply: Email your comprehensive CV to******.If you are already registered, please forward your CV and the relevant reference number to the consultant with whom you are currently registered in order to avoid duplicity on our system.We reserve the right to only conduct interviews with candidates of choice.Applicants who have not received feedback within 30 days from the closing date must please accept their application as unsuccessful.
