You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.You will have overall responsibility for the following departments: Catering, Portering, Security, Domestic and Accommodation, supporting the provision of quality patient care within the Regional General Hospitals and health care Acute environments. You will be responsible for the operational, strategic, quality and professional development of all the functions.Applicants must be trained to Degree level or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years managerial experience within an Acute setting or similar complex organisation.A good working knowledge and understanding of all Facilities Service functions and budgetary management with the importance of each in providing quality patient care is essential. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
