Reporting to the Site and Services Manager Your responsibilities will include: Preventative maintenance to conveyor systems (PLC experience, an advantage) in line with supplier guidelines and maintenance requirements to ensure maximum uptimeOn-going maintenance and troubleshooting to operational equipment such as air-con's, dock levellers, sectional overhead doors, boom gates, tiger teeth, turnstiles, biometric systems, CCTV, alarms, plumbing systems, etc.Basic repairs to items such as fencing, gates, rolltainers, etc.Management of spares and re-ordering of critical components under supervision of DC manager Attributes: Identify & solve problemsConduct electrical and mechanical tests using test equipmentKnowledge of electronic components, instrumentation and test equipmentUnderstanding electrical and mechanical principals - hands onAble to apply safety measures in electrical and mechanical environment, ensure OHS policies and procedures are followedKnowledge of PLC may be advantageous but is not essentialWiring qualifications / knowledge could be advantageKnowledge of Drives and controlsRead wiring diagrams, electrical and mechanical diagrams/plansUndertake, improvement, repairs and modificationsExcellent communication skills, both written and spokenComfortable with change and excellent team playerComfortable with learning and adapting to new systemsBe able to work in a pressured environment.Be able to complete tasks quickly & efficiently.Be willing to go the extra mile.Flexible working times and extended hours to resolve problems which affect Qualifications: Relevant technical electrical, mechanical or similar qualificationMinimum 6 years of experience in a relevant industry or service with automated material handling systems, electrical and mechanical engineering / mechatronicsExperience in the retail/distribution industry would be advantageous.
