CAPE TOWN BASED - STIKLAND INDUSTRIAL FORKLIFT PICKERS F8 / F9 HIGH LEVEL ORDER PICKERS & F12 PPT (Power Pallet Truck) Picker Brief job description: 3 Months Contract, Warehousing & Distribution Main Purpose: Achieve operational excellence, within the Distribution Centre.
Ensure of efficient and accurate picking, replenishment and counting of stock in line with company standard operational procedures within the warehouse.
Transport of goods from one point to another as per management / operational requirements using relevant machinery.
Location: Cape Town, Stikland Industrial Requirements: (Knowledge & Skills) The person should be a self-starter with good communication skills, being able to work in teams.
The person should have strong attention to detail attributes, high numerical and written accuracy and attention to detail Grade 10, 11 & 12 or equivalent Good hand to eye coordination Knowledge of company Safety regulations Excellent Numeracy Skills Ability to physically pull pallets Ability to physically load stock into trucks and offload multiple deliveries daily Medically Fit Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities Responsible for picking and packing stock for distribution.
Ensure that stock is picked as per the picking slips, on time and in full.
Stock shortages to be reported and documented.
Accurate qty's and correct product codes.
Valid License: F8 / F9 or F12.
General housekeeping function to be performed and maintained daily and EHS compliance within area of normal activity.
Adhere to all EHS policies and procedures at all times.
Report all faults and breakdowns of relevant Forklifts and equipment.
Maintain daily cleanliness of forklift machinery/equipment and general area of work activity.
Ad Hoc duties as and when required.
Maintenance and operation: Putting away stock/ Replenishment of stock Confirm storage by scanning the required storage bin.
Shift work required.
Weekend work required.
Mandatory Monthly cycle counts will be performed as and when required.
