The External Sales Representative (Software Solutions) is responsible for identifying and acquiring new business opportunities for the company's software products.
This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored software solutions.
The representative will work closely with the sales and technical teams to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities: Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify potential clients and industries that could benefit from the company's software solutions.
Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and sales leads.
Initiate contact with potential clients through cold calls, emails, networking events, and other outreach methods.
Client Engagement: Meet with clients to understand their business needs and challenges.
Present and demonstrate the company's software solutions to potential clients.
Tailor solutions to meet the specific needs of each client.
Sales Process Management: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets.
Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing.
Prepare and present sales proposals, contracts, and other documentation.
Relationship Building: Establish and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
Provide ongoing support and consultation to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
Act as a liaison between the client and the company's technical team to ensure seamless service delivery.
Market Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
Gather feedback from clients and provide insights to the product development team.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and client interactions in the company's CRM system.
Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and client feedback for management.
Education: National Senior Certificate
Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in software sales or a related field.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Experience in B2B sales, particularly in software or technology solutions, is preferred.
Skills: Strong understanding of software solutions and their applications in various industries.
