Description We are looking for a Sales Consultant to grow and retain clients for our Investec for Intermediaries (IFI) business in the Free State.
This individual will proactively sell and market IFI's multiproduct value proposition with a core focus on Cash Investments, Forex and Life Risk to targeted clients in the financial advisory and Forex Intermediary space, thereby delivering on business strategy.The result • Client relationship management and acting as the primary point of contact for IFI clients.
• Growing the Investec for Intermediaries market share and top line revenue through client retention, acquisition and most importantly by optimizing the product set of existing clients, achieved through entrenching Investec for Intermediaries as a partner for growth, customizing and articulating the value proposition of the Investec for Intermediaries offering to the potential or existing client.
• Distribution of the IFI core product set with a focus on Cash, and FX products and further partnering with and support to Structured Products & Bespoke Investments and Investec Life.• Client retention, which includes providing service and feedback to entire existing base of clients • Collaborate with purpose within the Investec Group in order to constantly capture and leverage opportunities for clients within other divisions • Develop and implement strategic client plans and marketing plans to maintain and build existing client relationships, entrench our partnerships with clients by attracting new business from existing clients and attracting clients who are new to bank • Network and attend client and industry events and functions as and when required • Contribute to the growth and strategy of the regional IFI business Experience, skill, and capability • Relevant Tertiary qualification • Minimum 5+ years financial services experience ideally in the investment and/or banking industries with a solid understanding of the financial advisory industry, treasury and Forex.
Understanding of structured products and life risk is also beneficial.
• Proven client service, client management and sales track record• Sound understanding of currency and interest rate dynamics• Understanding of financial statements and ability to perform basic financial analysis • Understanding of global markets as well as the domestic and international socio-economic and political landscape • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the functioning of cash investment products, forex and structured products • Understanding of regulations affecting banking and financial advisory industry • Ability to operate to deal with clients at various levels of organizations, business principals and directors, advisors and traders, administrators and compliance officers.
