The IIE enjoys the reputation of being at the forefront of private higher education in South Africa and is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) to provide higher education qualifications accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE).THE OPPORTUNITYIIE Varsity College, Pietermaritzburg campus is seeking appointees in the field of Transportation Management to strengthen the teaching and research capabilities in the Faculty of Management Studies.JOB PURPOSEThe primary purpose of this position is the delivery of effective facilitation/lecturing on qualifications and all associated academic activities such as student engagement and support that will promote student success and learning.KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:Lecturing/FacilitationMarkingStudent supportCompetencies Required:Communication skillsOrganisational skillsTime managementMinimum Education Requirements per module:Ideal: Honours in Supply Chain Management/ Logistics Management or one of the related fields (e.g. Purchasing, Operations/ Production, Inventory, Warehousing) with a special focus on Logistics; Operations and Production Management; Warehousing; Integrated Logistics and Transport Management to the third year in the undergraduate qualification.Alternatively:A Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Business Administration with Supply Chain Management/ Logistics Management or a similarly related field (e.g. Purchasing, Operations/ Production, Inventory; Sustainable Management) to the third-year level PLUS either an MBA/MCom/MPhil or a Postgraduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management and/or Logistics.Minimum Work Experience Requirements:Lecturing experience in Supply Chain Management/ Integrated Logistics Management/ risk/ supply chain/logistics or transportation management.Work experience as a logistics manager/ supply chain manager/ logistics or transportation manager.Working Conditions:This is an Independent Contractor role.Owing to the volume of CVs received, we may not be able to personally contact all applicants.
