The IIE enjoys the reputation of being at the forefront of private higher education in South Africa and is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) to provide higher education qualifications accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE).THE OPPORTUNITYIIE Varsity College, Pietermaritzburg campus is seeking appointees in the field of General Marketing Management to strengthen the teaching and research capabilities in the Faculty of Management Studies.JOB PURPOSEThe primary purpose of this position is the delivery of effective facilitation/lecturing on qualifications and all associated academic activities such as student engagement and support that will promote student success and learning.KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:Lecturing/FacilitationMarkingStudent supportCompetencies Required:Communication skillsOrganisational skillsTime managementMinimum Education Requirements per module:Ideal:Honours degree in Marketing.Alternatively:An honours in one of the Business-related fields (e.g. economics, entrepreneurship, risk, supply chain, or project management) – with Marketing to the third-year level in the undergraduate qualification; orA bachelor's degree with Marketing or a similarly related field (e.g. entrepreneurship, risk, supply chain or project management) to the third-year level PLUS either an MBA or a postgraduate diploma in business or education.Minimum Work Experience Requirements:Lecturing experience in Marketing/ Entrepreneurship/Supply Chain/Project Management.Work experience as an entrepreneur, project manager, or manager in the supply chain of an organisation/project management experience in the field of marketing or the design and development of marketing tools or plans/online marketing.Working Conditions:This is an Independent Contractor role.Position is part-time.The IIE's Varsity College is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
