THE OPPORTUNITY IIE Varsity College, Westville campus is seeking appointees in the field of Commerce to strengthen the teaching and research capabilities in the Faculty of Management Studies.

Job Purpose The primary purpose of this position is the delivery of effective facilitation/lecturing on qualifications and all associated academic activities such as student engagement and support that will promote student success and learning.

Key Performance Areas Lecturing/FacilitationMarkingStudent support Competencies Required Communications skillsOrganisational skillsTime management Minimum Education Requirements Per Module Ideal: Honours in Development Economics and with Economics 1st to 3rd year in undergraduate studies.Alternatively: Honours in one of the Business-related fields (e.g. economics/investment/banking, entrepreneurship, risk, supply chain or project management) – with undergrad degree with Economics 1st to 3rd year, and development economics at 3rd year level; orA degree with Economics or a similarly related field (e.g. entrepreneurship, risk, business or business management) to the third-year level PLUS either an MBA or a postgraduate diploma in business or education. Minimum Work Experience Requirements: Lecturing experience as an economic development consultant/economist in this field.Work experience as a development economist.
