Export Specialist – Fresh Produce – Johannesburg

An established fresh produce marketing, farming, and processing company is looking to grow its export business out of Sub Saharan Africa into global markets including the UK, Europe, Middle East & Asia.
The goal is to increase export contribution from 10% to 30% in the group.
Position OverviewSenior executive positionReports to Group CEOLead Export team in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and the UKFormulate, develop, and deliver export strategyManage financial budgetManage procurement function, working with growers/farmers and managing growing programmesManage product category strategiesUnderstanding of logistics (International/Air Freight and Sea Freight)Preferable exporting experience in vegetables is advantageous; however, we see fruit categories as an important growth opportunity to broaden our rangeAbility to negotiate and work with retail buying teamsEmail CV in WORD format: ******
