Job summary:Manage all area specific export accounts, and generate profit through the effective selling and marketing of the range and other related products to Africa and the world.
Summary of essential job functions:Quoting area specific export accountsQuoting all customers in appointed marketsReconciliation of area account debtorsBack up / support of Export Controller when requiredBack up / support of Export Traders when requiredBooking of orders into SYSPRO & Export ProcedureCredit cover applicationMarketing and Selling of full product rangeReporting to Export Management:- Country & customer visits / Trip reports- Risk and cost analysis reports- Market specific SWOT- Expense reports- Monthly sales reports- Sales budgeting- Account / territory / category planning- Expense budgeting- Strategic planning reports & implementation- Proposal generationEnsure profitability of export departmentCustomer service and relationsEstablish and grow marketsExport file maintenanceCustomer file maintenanceCommunicate customer requirements to export / stores and manufacturing departmentsSale presentations Minimum requirements:Sound knowledge of export procedureSound knowledge of country specific requirements (inspection, fumigation, routing, GSP, etc)Sound knowledge of Export Documentation SoftwareSound knowledge of SYSPROSound product knowledgeSound knowledge of sales technique Full working knowledge of export department procedures, from inquiry to payment completion.Sound knowledge of export payment procedures (TT, Letter of Credit, Etc)Sound knowledge of company policySound knowledge of entire export customer base & customer specific requirementsSound knowledge of area specific export customer base & customer specific requirementsNegotiation skillsPlanning skillsReporting skillsUnderstanding of financial statements.
