Job DescriptionOur client, a fully integrated producer, packer, and marketer based in the Citrusdal Valley, Western Cape, is seeking an Export Logistics Coordinator to join their Marketing team.
Role Overview: The marketing team's strategic objective is to position the Company as a preferred supplier to global retailers & select target markets in the global citrus market. The role will be responsible for day-to-day stock management and coordinating Export logistics and shipping with service providers and shipping lines. The ideal candidate should be proactive, adaptable, and possess excellent organizational, communication, and numerical skills.
Minimum Requirements: Applicable tertiary qualification, and continuous learning attitudeRelevant experience, preferably within the fruit industryAdvanced management and numerical capabilityComputer LiteracyStrong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skillsWillingness and ability to work and prosper within a team environmentSelf-motivated, driven, resilient, and humbleDuties and Responsibilities: Coordinate Export LogisticsStock management & loadoutsVessel bookings & instructionsCoordinate execution of export loads with 3rd party service providers, i.e., freight forwarders and shipping linesTrack shipments and provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding shipment status and potential delays.Export Supply Chain costingsReceive & update total supply chain costings for export marketsCollaborate with freight forwarders and shipping lines to optimize shipping routes and reduce costs.Manage and sign off on logistics costsExport administration (updating of systems, export schedule, stock levels, and updating of program volumes)Stay up to date with market trends, industry developments, product knowledge, and industry best practices to effectively address customer inquiries and provide appropriate solutions.
