We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all inland and international shipments. The ideal candidate will have strong multitasking skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Job Description
Coordinate and manage all aspects of export logistics, including scheduling, customs compliance, and scheduling.
Prepare shipping documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, Certificate of Origin, and liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics service providers for bills of lading, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics service providers to arrange transportation of goods.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the goods are correctly packed, labeled, and ready for shipment.
Track and monitor the movement of shipments and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders and clients.
Work closely with customs brokers to ensure compliance with customs regulations and prepare required documents.
Assist with the resolution of any shipping-related issues and implement corrective actions.
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices: customs procedures and regulations, trade regulations, and shipping trends.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Previous experience (3 years) in logistics coordination or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing and field services organization.

Key skills required:
Strong knowledge of customs and shipping regulations and freight forwarding processes.
Proficiency in shipping software/systems.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
Knowledge of the Jira software package is a plus.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
