IOEC Export Co-ordinatorIOEC is a dynamic and ambitious family-owned export trading business based in Durban. We have been in existence for the last 51 years with a third generation in place. We specialize in the export of FMCG's, fruit and vegetables, meat, wines, and building materials to over 55 countries throughout the world. We have subsidiary businesses in both the Seychelles and Mauritius.We are currently looking for an Export Co-ordinator to join our Export Services team. This position is available immediately and based at our Durban office.The position would be responsible for executing the export transactions within the policies and guidelines of the company and provide assistance and back-up to the Business Development Managers. The position plays a key role in the liaison between the company, its suppliers, shipping lines, and customers. It carries the responsibility for maintaining high standards of competence, professionalism, and service.Duties & ResponsibilitiesRespond to enquiries or provide quotes for potential and existing clients.Implement financial procedures for confirmed orders.Execute confirmed orders, negotiate shipping and operational requirements, issue shipping instructions, supplier confirmation, documentation, stock control (expiry dates, etc.), shipping file cover, communication with clients, and follow up on actual shipment.Business Development Manager support and backup.Desired Experience & QualificationKnowledge of the Export process.Experience with exportation of mixed goods containers.Experience with the exportation of fresh produce.Computer literacy and an advanced knowledge of Excel.Knowledge of export costings.Experience with exchange rates and foreign currencies.Working knowledge of export documentation.Ability to speak French would be an added advantage.Package & RemunerationSalary will be market-related and based on experience. The package will be made up of a basic salary plus an attainable commission.
