WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Lead a group of project managers tasked with managing the process to introduce new products.
Provide strategic direction for all product introduction and project management activities.
Allocate project management resources to effectively utilise available project management resources across all running new product projects.
Develop, refine and implement effective systems and procedures to ensure world class project management processes for the introduction of new products into production.
Provide project management support function to other departments (Marketing, Product Development) and Product Managers.
Line Management function for the group of Project Managers (Overhead budgets, Performance Management, etc).
Promote and ensure adherence to project management and other company standards.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
BEng in Engineering or equivalent.
Project Management qualification.
At least 10 years Project Management experience in managing product development projects and managing a team.
Defense sector experience, specifically dealing with the development and production of ammunition and a strong understanding and exposure to the systems engineering principles.
PMP, Prince2 or Lean Six Sigma Certification will be an added advantage.
Proven experience in implementing project management systems in a complex technical and IT environment.
Good interpersonal, facilitation and conflict management skills.
Good communication, planning and organizing skills.
Experience in line management functions preferable.
Strong computer skills (MS Office packages including MS Projects).
Highly organized and self-motivated.
