Our client is seeking an Executive Manager Finance to develop and position the Business Unit's financial value chains, operating models, and frameworks within a comprehensive strategic context, ensuring horizontal alignment, execution, and adoption through effective planning, organization, direction, control, and coordination of financial strategies, plans, and operations.
Responsibilities: Translate overarching strategies to facilitate alignment and integration across the Financial value chain.
Provide strategic financial insights and input into the development of the BU's strategies and plans.
Develop and implement localized Financial strategy and ensure alignment with the BU and Regional operations strategy and business plans.
Identify issues within the functional area and develop alternative solutions to address conflicts within the value chain.
Facilitate business unit level forecasting and budgeting in line with the group financial planning processes and guidelines
Record financial transactions for the Business Unit, ensuring accuracy and timeliness to provide comprehensive financial insights within the specified timelines.
Drive the set-up Customer billing structures to ensure revenue is accurately recorded and tracked, which is essential for financial reporting and analysis.
Oversee the processing of customer payments within the specified timelines.
Oversee and manage business payments and accounts payables to ensure financial accuracy.
Manage vendor payments to maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure timely settlement of obligations, uphold positive credit terms and financial health within the Business Unit.
Manage electronic bank payments to ensure secure, timely fund disbursement while complying with banking regulations.
Ensure the reconciliation, analysis and reporting on accounts payable for the Business Unit.
Ensure the effective management and collection of outstanding debts within the Business Unit.
Oversee and manage delinquent accounts to ensure effective resolution and minimize financial losses.
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of collections and the debt management system.
Establish and implement revenue collection policies to ensure consistent and efficient income generation.
Oversee internal payments and employee expense reimbursements to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all payees.
Measure business unit cost drivers and implement control parameters to enhances overall financial performance and competitiveness in the business unit.
Implement treasury policies, procedures and guidelines at the Business Unit level as prescribed by Group Treasury Operations
Forge favourable relationships with local banks and funding institutions
Protect the business unit and ultimately the organisation against financial losses by effectively analysing and negotiating bank fees, interest rates and managing credit exposure.
Assess and manage the business unit funds and cash position in both local and foreign currency to establish income levels against financial obligations to ensure business unit liquidity and mitigate financial risks .
Assess and guide business unit commercial decisions to determine their financial impact and strategic alignment.
Oversee the management of foreign currency for the business unit to mitigate exchange rate risks and optimize business unit financial performance.
Track and manage the cash flow and financial health of the Business Unit to ensure liquidity for meeting short- and medium-term obligations.
Perform financial reconciliation, monthly, and annual reporting for the Business Unit, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of comprehensive financial insights within specified timelines.
Assess and report on profitability of the business unit to guide strategic decision-making and enhance financial performance.
Formulate and develop a multifunctional operating framework aimed at fostering sustainable growth and positively impacting organizational outcomes.
Formulate Financial strategies to mitigate market and currency risks that constrain the business.
