Executive Chef

An exciting opportunity is available to join the pre-opening team of this new full-service hotel, opening in early 2025. The ideal candidate must be dynamic, creative, innovative and in keeping with restaurant trends both locally and abroad.
Requirements:
Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent
A culinary qualification in a recognized culinary institution
Strong knowledge and practical experience running a high-volume stand-alone upmarket restaurant kitchen
Must have at least 4-6 years experience in an Executive Sous or Head Chef role, in a busy, high-end A la Carte restaurant
Sound costing, purchasing & hygiene practices required
Computer literate and able to use systems for reporting and audit purposes
Must be able to train & develop other staff members
Strong people management skills and confidence in a leadership role
Strong communication skills
Must have own reliable transport along with a valid driver's license
