Afrimat Aggregates Operations (based at Brewelskloof Quarry – Worcester) has a vacancy for a:
Excavator OperatorMinimum Qualifications / ExperienceGrade 12Must have a valid driver's licenseBe literate and functionally numerate3-5 years' experience in a similar environmentPre-employment medical requiredMust have a valid Operator's certificateBasic mechanical background would be advantageousMedically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety ActDuties and Responsibilities (not limited to):Operating the Excavator and carrying out all related tasksReporting general mechanical elementary problemsOperate the Excavator in a respectful and safe manner in line with training receivedBe safety consciousAble to work as part of a teamAcknowledge that Management may allocate additional tasks when tasks cannot be completed on standard allocated jobKeep machine clean, safe and in good working order by completing daily pre-start checklist correctlyAssist with the housekeeping around the production areaBe able to work under pressure and sometimes extended hours (including overtime and Saturdays)Must be able to carry out instructions given by your superiorChange and operate special attachments on the equipmentClosing Date: 21 January 2025The candidates must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Company standards for medical fitness.
