Job DescriptionTo conceptualise, plan and execute client and other stakeholder events across lines of business and products to support client engagement and company positioning tactics. The successful candidate should have very strong communication skills, work well with a team, and can take the initiative to deliver solutions under time constraints.
ResponsibilitiesLiaise with relevant internal clients to discuss their event requirements i.e., workshop, corporate lunch, conference, etc.Liaise with relevant suppliers to identify and secure event-specific speakers.Brief the internal team with all design elements pertaining to an event and gain approval.Obtain guest list as well as budget information.Secure a suitable venue for the event while inspecting all health and safety elements at the venue i.e., security, disability friendly, ablution, technical, and parking facilities.Distribute invitations within required time-frames and manage RSVP process.Ensure that necessary transport is arranged for guests to travel to and from the venue or destination.Keep internal and external clients informed of progress on a regular basis.Liaise with relevant suppliers regarding catering requirements while ensuring that all dietary requirements are taken into account.Ensure that all necessary technical equipment is ready and available for an event with an adequate number of branded technical staff on site.Arrange the delivery of event elements i.e., entrance tickets, final details, parking tickets, and necessary maps or GPS coordinates.Prepare the layout and decor of the venue, including the guest registration desk prior to the start of the event.Be conscious of risks and attempt to mitigate as much as possible.Arrange all logistics around getaways if need be.Arrange, prepare and deliver appropriate gifts for guests.Keep up to date with industry, client, and hospitality trends and best practices, competitor activities, venues, and other hospitality.Minimum QualificationsMatric Experience10 years Industry Experience10 years Specific SkillsetStrong communicator, co-ordinator, and team player Job DetailsTake note that applications will not be accepted on the below date and onwards, kindly submit applications ahead of the closing date indicated below. 20/12/24
