Download Job Appplication: here Responsibilities: 1. Event Planning and Execution:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop event concepts and strategies.Manage all aspects of event planning, including budgeting, logistics, and vendor coordination in Southern Africa. Collaborate with Communications and Engagement Associate on other events across Africa.Ensure events are well-organized, on schedule, and meet quality standards.Oversee event setup, coordination of staff and volunteers, and troubleshooting during events.2. Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain relationships with partners, sponsors, and vendors.Communicate effectively with event participants, speakers, and attendees.Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders.3. Marketing and Promotion:
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop event marketing strategies.Create promotional materials, including flyers, social media posts, and email campaigns.Manage event registration and ticketing processes.4. Evaluation and Reporting:
Collect and analyze data to evaluate the success of each event.Prepare post-event reports with key metrics, attendee feedback, and recommendations for improvement.5. Sustainability Integration:
Promote sustainable event practices and minimize the environmental impact of events.Identify opportunities to incorporate sustainability themes into events.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in event management, marketing, communications, or a related fieldExperience in event planning and coordination and community engagement.Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal abilities.Driven and motivated to be a top performerExcellent interpersonal skills with a client-focused mindset.Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, and as part of a team – with the ability to be proactive, collaborate and work well with others regardless of position, background or geographical location.Strong organizational and project management skills.Passion for development and sustainability in Africa.Ability to travel as needed and attend after hours work eventsCreative thinking and problem-solving skills.Benefits: Competitive fee.Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.Opportunity for career growth within a dynamic and growing global organization.A supportive and collaborative work environment.How to Apply:
