This position oversees two Senior Researchers and is based at the m2m Head Office in Cape Town with opportunities to travel.Key Performance Areas:Advance m2m Evaluation and Operational Research (E&OR) Priorities:Define E&OR priorities for m2m based on organizational need and strategic planning.Work closely with the Senior Data Scientist and others to identify opportunities for Evaluation and Operations Research.Liaise with internal & external review committees regarding E&OR study design and implementation.Lead the preparation of concept notes, proposals, and RFAs for funding.Advise on and lead evaluation of existing and new programmatic activities.Provide Technical Support to m2m Programme Teams and External Stakeholders:Co-ordinate and oversee m2m Programme Evaluations in all countries.Support local stakeholders in co-ordinating evaluations.Provide technical support to programme teams on Evaluation and Operations Research.Manage and lead the Head Office Evaluation and Operations Research Team:Provide leadership in the planning and execution of Evaluation and Operations Research.Co-ordination and Oversight of Evaluation and Operations Research Studies:Oversee development and implementation of m2m E&OR studies & projects.Ensure methodological excellence in study design and data collection.Drive the conceptualization, design, and submission of E&OR projects:Represent DPTS in interdisciplinary initiatives:Represent m2m on research committees and forums.Qualifications and Experience:Advanced post-graduate degree (PhD preferable) in Public Health or related field.Minimum 8-10 years' work experience in a senior position in health-related empirical research.Proven track record in applying research methodology in Public Health.Experience in leading and managing research projects.Strong quantitative analytical skills.Experience in mentoring and building capacity of junior staff.mothers2mothers is an equal opportunity employer.
