Job Title: Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our client's team in Wellington, Western Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and a proven track record of accurately assessing project costs and preparing competitive bids.
Responsibilities

Review project drawings and specifications to accurately estimate material, labor, and equipment costs
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for a variety of construction projects
Analyze project risk factors and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential cost overruns
Present and defend estimates to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
Monitor project progress and cost variations to ensure estimate accuracy
Keep abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and material costs to inform future estimates

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating
Proficiency in estimating software (such as Procore, Bluebeam, or PlanSwift)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
Knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and best practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
