Computer literacy. Excellent planning skills. Responsibilities: Measure and design Lightning Protection Systems for houses, buildings and solar panels. Estimate the quantity of material needed to install Lightning Protection Systems for houses, building and solar panels. Preparation of enquiry or tender documentation in line with health and safety requirements. Preparation of quotations and bill of quantity. Preparation of technical reports with the quotation when required. Liaising with different departments for projects received regarding quantities and preparations of design drawings. Review and comprehension of technical documents. Research and create cost models with accurate financial quotations. Estimate quantities based on architectural drawings, site reports and Google Earth. Proficiency in designing, installing and maintaining lightning protection systems, including understanding the principles of risk management as outlined by SANS 62305. Review updated plans and specifications to ensure accurate estimates. Prepare clear and concise written proposals for potential customers. Maintain accurate records of project details.
