Hire Resolve is currently seeking a talented Estimating Buyer to join our client's team in Sandton.
As an Estimating Buyer, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials and services necessary for various construction projects.
Key Responsibilities: Identify and source suppliers for required materials and services.
Request and analyse quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Prepare detailed comparisons of bids and negotiate favorable terms.
Collaborate with the estimating team to ensure accurate project specifications.
Monitor market trends and supply chain dynamics to optimize procurement strategies.
Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Resolve any issues related to procurement or discrepancies in materials.
Requirements Minimum of 10 years' experience as an Estimating Buyer in larger construction companies.
Relevant degree or diploma in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is preferred.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and cost estimation processes.
Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
