Track Estate ManagerThe newly revamped Hollywoodbets Cape Racing, Kenilworth racing venue has an exciting role available! We are looking to hire a suitably qualified and experienced Track Estate Manager to join our passionate and dedicated team.The primary purpose of the job is to maintain the racetrack to ensure it is safe for customers and functional according to international standards. In addition, the Track Estate Manager will ensure that the estate is maintained and cleaned. The Track Estate Manager will report to the Racing Manager.Duties & ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of the role are, but not limited to:Ensure the track is properly maintainedCarry out repairs after a race meetingMonitor weekly growth, insect infestation, and diseases and take necessary actionCarry out spring treatmentEnsure equipment is repaired and maintainedDraw up monthly estate reportDraw up orders for estateCapture employees clocking and leave forms onto the systemEnsure the track is ready for the race meetingMove rails correctly to the designated areaEnsure stables are clean and that there is sufficient beddingEnsure gates are open in the business parkEnsure starting rails are clean and tested before race meetingEnsure facilities are neat and tidyCheck that all equipment is in working orderEnsure the track is prepared for gallops and cones are in the designated areaEnsure the completion of the departmental job descriptionsEnsure the completion of personal development plans for all staffManage work performance of all employeesManage attendance and absenteeismManage leave for all staffExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).Excellent leadership and relationship management skills.Excellent team management skills.Above average report writing skills.Observant, with exceptional attention to detail.Excellent planning and organisational skills.Good problem-solving skills.Ability and able to function under pressure.Desired Experience & QualificationRequired ExperienceMinimum 5-7 years' experience in a similar role.Required Qualification(s)Matric is required.A related Diploma or Degree would be advantageous.Interested?Should you not hear from us after the closing date, please consider your application unsuccessful.
