We are seeking an experienced and skilled Employee Relations Manager to join our Human Resources team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and improving employee relations within our manufacturing facilities, ensuring compliance with South African labour laws, and fostering a productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement employee relations strategies aligned with company goals and South African labour legislation
Manage relationships with trade unions and worker representatives
Lead collective bargaining negotiations and ensure compliance with collective agreements
Handle grievances, disciplinary procedures, and conflict resolution
Provide guidance on labour law matters to management and employees
Conduct training sessions on employee relations, labour laws, and company policies
Monitor and report on key employee relations metrics
Collaborate with other HR functions to enhance overall employee experience

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or related field
Minimum 5 years experience in employee relations in the automotive sector
In-depth knowledge of South African labour laws, including the Labour Relations Act and Employment Equity Act
Experience in union negotiations and collective bargaining
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in conflict resolution and mediation
