Cape Town. Well-established, worldwide company within the Shipping industry seeks Equipment Controller / Reefer Logistics Operator with at least 5 years Shipping experience within a Ships Agency environment and solid reefer technical knowledge.
Responsibilities will include monitoring and control, managing and tracking, coordinating with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners, ensuring that containers are properly handled during loading and unloading, maintenance, documentation and compliance, and customer service.
Requirements:
Matric
Minimum 5 years Shipping experience within a Ships Agency environment (essential)
Minimum of 5 years reefer technical knowledge (essential)
Computer literate - Dinamix and LMS
Awareness of NPA, immigration and customs regulations, PPECB regulations and workings, and ISPS
Knowledge of ports, depots and customs policies and procedures
Maritime studies an advantage
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management
Familiarity with refrigerated transport and container management systems
Problem-solving skills, especially in time-sensitive situations
Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
