Environmental Specialist

A great mining company in Gauteng is seeking the expertise of an Environmental Specialist to join their team. Responsibilities: Manage the implementation and enforcement of the mine's environmental management plans and policies. Monitor environmental impacts and ensure compliance with relevant local, national, and international environmental regulations and standards. Conduct environmental risk assessments and audits, making recommendations to mitigate identified risks. Liaise with internal stakeholders, government bodies, and community groups to ensure transparent communication and collaboration on environmental matters. Provide Environmental expertise and skills to the operation. Advising on Environmental solutions to enhance or ensure the effectiveness of the operation. Establish and maintain good working relationships and an effective / sound communication system with the operation. Coordinate the auditing of the Environmental Management System according to Group practice.
