This is a Part time contract role working 2 days a week on site. The successful candidate will be required to fulfil the job as summarised below, but not limited to:
Environmental Management Manage the development and implementation of environmental management systems within the project sites by identifying, solving and alleviating environmental issues, such as pollution and waste treatment in compliance with environmental legislation and to ensure corporate sustainable development. Sustainability Support the Uhde global initiatives and directives at project level in ensuring that the adopted global strategy to meet the set Sustainability objectives is adhered to and achieved. Scope of Work Develop and review environmental policies ensuring alignment with relevant regulatory framework. Develop and implement the standard operating procedures for the Environmental Management Programme. Develop specifications, prepare Request for Proposals (RFP), and evaluation of proposals for the appointment of Service Providers for specialist environmental services, as and when required. Oversee the implementation of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. Develop, implement, and maintain the Environmental Management Programmes. Assist with conducting environmental impact assessment studies and water use license applications or amendments. Implement project site environmental management and monitoring programme, during decommissioning and site handover to contractors, construction, commissioning, and site handover back to client. The candidate must be in possession of at least:
BTech/BSc Environmental Sciences/Environmental Management or related environmental qualification. ISO 14001 Implementation and Auditing. Additional Educational Requirements Sound working knowledge of the MS Office Suite especially Excel. Years of Experience 3 years varied experience in petro-chemical / oil and gas environment, including knowledge in EIA applications and amendments, environmental compliance and audits, and knowledge of ISO standards. Managerial Experience: Leading and managing a team.
