OverviewA great mining company in Pretoria, Gauteng is seeking the expertise of an Environmental Manager to join their team of professionals.ResponsibilitiesLead the development and execution of integrated mine closure plans that prioritize environmental sustainability and community well-being.Collaborate with mining operations to ensure compliance with closure obligations and post-closure monitoring.Collaborate closely with the Life of Mine Planning teams to ensure that mine closure considerations are seamlessly integrated into long-term planning.Oversee water resource management, including efficient usage and responsible discharge practices.Implement water conservation measures and engage with local communities on sustainable water practices.Develop and oversee environmental monitoring programs to track key performance indicators.RequirementsGrade 12Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Environmental Science / Environmental Management10 – 12 years' experience in an underground mining environment.BenefitsSalary: R1.6M/yr – R1.8M/yr, negotiableTraining & DevelopmentFamily Leave
