Environmental Intern

About the role The Environmental Intern is expected to conduct Environmental Impact and Management Assessments, focusing on air and water quality and dust fallout monitoring, including the drafting of technical, regulatory, and related documents, achieved through research, analysis, or fieldwork.Responsibilities:Performing scientific functions including maintaining Data Tables and Statistical Tables.Generating and maintaining Site Reports, Sampling Registers, and Analytical Test Reports for larger quarterly, bi-annual, and annual reports.Conducting dust fallout reporting.Handling occupational hygiene reporting through swabs.Compiling short Monthly Information Reports on water quality.Stay up-to-date with relevant environmental regulations and best practices.Collaborate with project teams to ensure environmental compliance.Assess potential environmental risks and develop mitigation measures.Requirements:At least a BSc /BA (Hons) Degree in Environmental Management or a suitable equivalent.South African unemployed youth aged between 18 and 34.Must not have taken part in the YES Program before.Self-motivated, organized, punctual and honest.Good communication skills, both verbal and written communication skills.Have a keen attention to detail.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.Strong scientific reasoning skills with excellent scientific report writing abilities will be required.Strong administrative skills are important.Be willing to work 5 days a week work (08:00 17:00).Have a record of good behavior and a positive attitude.Arrange your own transport to and from the customer site in the South Durban area.Please consider your application unsuccessful when you have not heard from the Signa Opportunity team within two weeks of submitting your application.
