Responsibilities:
Conduct environmental assessments to identify potential risks and develop strategies for mitigation.
Design and implement solutions for wastewater treatment, air pollution control, solid waste management, and other environmental challenges.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate environmental considerations into engineering projects.
Perform environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and develop strategies to minimize negative impacts.
Monitor and evaluate environmental performance to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and clients on environmental issues.
Stay informed about emerging environmental regulations, technologies, and best practices.
Prepare reports, presentations, and other documentation to communicate project findings and recommendations.
Conduct research and development activities to innovate new environmental technologies and solutions.
Promote environmental awareness and sustainability initiatives within the organization and the community.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred).
Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility for licensure.
Proven experience in environmental engineering, including project management and regulatory compliance.
Strong knowledge of environmental laws and regulations.
Proficiency in environmental modeling software and tools (e.g., GIS, CAD, MATLAB).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and environmental management systems (EMS).
Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and sustainable design principles.
Familiarity with environmental monitoring techniques and data analysis methods.
Experience working on interdisciplinary teams and engaging stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
Certification in relevant areas such as LEED, Envision, or similar sustainable design standards.
