An exciting opportunity to develop enterprise and entrepreneurship activities and raise the profile among the student body by engaging with a wider range of students, running events and workshops and undertaking creative approaches to marketing and advertising. To increase the number of successful student/graduate start-ups by establishing a fully developed enterprise pipeline, inspiring, motivating and equipping students/graduates through training, resources, competitions, events, and coaching/mentoring. This role will support the promotion, monitoring and delivery of workshops and other activities linked to our supporting the start-up and growth of student businesses. You will have a genuine knowledge and interest in start-ups or have even started your own business. In this role you will work with students and graduates, that will be in various phases of their business development journey (idea stage or already established) and support them with their needs and questions. Therefore, you need a good understanding of the business environment and ideally have practical solutions to move an enterprise forward. At GBS we offer flexible working hours to allow our teams to support students. Key Responsibilities: Actively participate in the delivery of a core programme of entrepreneurship support initiatives. Think creatively to develop and grow the team's offer, ensuring that it remains relevant and contemporary. Collaborate positively across the team, working collectively on joint projects and where appropriate lead on curating events and workshops including booking speakers, rooms and catering. Actively support and contribute to the effective running of the entrepreneurship support coworking space. Engage with internal and external stakeholders relevant to the successful delivery of the Enterprise Support core programme. Plan and deliver entrepreneurship activities for the GBS on all campuses. Support and deliver entrepreneurship support for students and graduates including those accessing our investment programme. Essential Skills and Experience: First Degree and/or equivalent relevant experience. Knowledge of the enterprise arena and/or experience working with Startups, SMEs or similar and/or experience in mentoring, coaching and an understanding of the entrepreneurial mindset. Experience of planning, and managing the delivery of projects and/or events. Experience of working/ability to work with competing timeframes across a number of initiatives. Ability to communicate credibly with a range of people from all levels internally and externally to the university. Prepared to work flexibly including occasional evenings and weekends. Aptitude for problem solving and creative thinking. Experience of and/or willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team. Ability to process and present information in a suitable format for different audiences. To undertake travel between GBS campuses. Support and actively participate in the implementation of GBS equal opportunities policies. To undertake any other duties that may be required to meet the demands of the service and the role. Key Result Areas: Working within B3 Metrics to get business-minded students to graduate/professional outcomes. Actively engage with 10%+ of our student cohort within your campus. Accurately record impact achieved with each student who engages in enterprise support services. Create and/or collaborate/deliver valuable business-related content for students to engage with.
