About the job Enterprise Payments Domain ArchitectJob purpose:The payments architect is responsible for the design, development, delivery and ongoing maintenance of an enterprise payments architecture and related execution roadmap, assuring its continued alignment to the overarching objectives of the Company's business, IT and enterprise architecture requirements.Qualifications:BSc Computer Science or BComm Information Systems / Informatics or a similarly relevant Information Technology degree from a recognized universityRelevant payments software and platform certificationsArchitecture practice and modelling-related certifications e.g., TOGAF, Bredemeyer, Zachmann, UML, eTOM, SOA.
Architecture tooling certifications & experience e.g., Sparx, Casewise, ARIS, iServerSupporting technology or business domain certifications8+ years experience as an architecture practitioner5+ years experience in payments-specific architecture and solution design5+ years experience in leading/managing architecture and/or payments implementation teams3+ years experience in implementing large, mid-size and small payments solutions/projectsDeep domain knowledge of payments and cloud systems/platforms & implementations, and hands-on experience working on related technologies with customers in those marketsUnderstanding of emerging payment trends and partner ecosystems e.g.
Payment Hubs, Micro payments, Open API payment facilities, Cashless transacting, NFC and VAS retail payments & other Experience with different payments platforms and providers such as M-Pesa, MTN, Pagatech IBM, PAYU, PayGate, Worlonline or otherKnowledge and practical application of common payments architectures, including integration into upstream and downstream core systems e.g., Product Catalogue, Pricing & Quoting, Billing, Payment Gateway, Credit & Risk ManagementStrong understanding of software design and DevOps concepts
