Role and ResponsibilitiesClinical CareAccurate nursing documentation based on observation & assessment of the resident dailyNursing care plan completion and implementation thereof as per assessment needs of the residentImplement planned coordinated care by MDTDetailed assessment and treatment of ailments once reported and referral thereafter as requiredAdministration of medicationEnsure instructions/orders given in doctor's rounds are implemented and documentedAdhere to all nursing and general policy and procedures as per organisation and nursing departmentMedical equipment accounted for and in working orderClinical RiskUtilise clinical judgement to refer and treat acutely ill/emergency residentsLiaise and inform families when resident is unwell, non-compliant or of any significant concernsFacilitate admission to hospital as requiredSupervise junior staff and assess residents regularly for possible clinical risksAccurate recordkeeping and documentation of risks with photos etc.Ensure residents and communal areas are hygienic and safeEnsure infection control procedures are utilised at all times by all staff and use of PPEsStaff Supervision/TeamworkAccurate delegation of staff, according to scope of practiceOrientation of new staffReport and handle complaints from residents/staff/familyEnsure that junior staff adhere and comply with all documentation and care as per policiesFacilitate cohesive teamwork that provides quality carePerformance manage junior staff as requiredHandling and resolving complaintsAdministration and Financial EfficiencyCheck all ward stock and medical equipmentNo expired stock in wardLog and report all central facilities requests eg.
