Enrolled Nurse | General Ward

A vacancy exists for an Enrolled Nurse at Life Knysna Private Hospital, reporting to Unit Manager, Tersia Mopp. The successful incumbent will deliver evidence-based patient care in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders in line with the Company and Hospital's strategic objectives of growth, efficiency, quality, and sustainability.Critical OutputsConduct basic duties as allocated by the Unit Manager.Deliver quality nursing care to patients according to Scope of Practice and market-leading evidenced-based clinical care.Ensure effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders that enhances and optimizes business growth.Ensure patient experience, clinical, and safety (patient and employee) outcomes are met.Comply with all LHC policies, work procedures & workflows.Ensure effective utilization of resources and maintenance of equipment.Assist in the management of stock and billing.Ensure optimal product utilization including pharmaceuticals and equipment and sundries.Accurate record keeping.Supervise subordinates and provide guidance where necessary.Provide health education to patients and staff.Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritize workload to achieve team goals.RequirementsQualification as an Enrolled Nurse, registered with SANC.Nursing experience in general wards nursing.Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).Updated knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, industrial relations, standards, codes, ethics, and competency standards.Ability to work shifts according to the operational requirements of the hospital which includes day and night duty.Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage.CompetenciesProblem-solving, analysis, and judgment.Resilience.Engaging diversity.Verbal & written communication.Drive & energy.Excellence orientation.Ethical behaviour.Building relationships.Customer responsiveness.Organisational awareness.Email: ****** date: Wednesday, September 18, 2024.Internal applicants - Before making an application, you are requested to discuss your application with your line manager.
