The role involves delivering safe, quality nursing care according to the Scope of Practice.REQUIRED EDUCATIONESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Enrolled Nurse CertificateDESIRED EDUCATION: For specialised wards, CPD courses in specific specialty area.REQUIRED EXPERIENCEESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: NoneDESIRED EXPERIENCE: 1 year post qualification experience before placement in a specialised unit.KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREASDeliver quality nursing care in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team.Identify, prevent and report risks to ensure patient safety.Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.Participate in creating a learning environment that builds staff competence.Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged.REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEBasic life support trainedInfection prevention and controlPharmacologyScientific nursing principles and processNursing processes and proceduresAll applicants will be considered, with the understanding that preference will be given in accordance with the Employment Equity Plan of Mediclinic Southern Africa, as well as internal applicants/employees that meet the minimum requirements.
