Position: Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary | Multi-care ICU
Introduction: A vacancy exists for an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary, based in our ICU at Life Bay View Hospital, reporting to Melinda Verwey, Unit Manager ICU. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring delivery of uncompromising quality care in line with Company strategic objectives and applicable Health/Nursing legislation.
Critical OutputsEnsure effective quality management systems by: Attending and participating in Q programs and ensuring induction training is carried outEnsuring monthly Q evaluator cards are completed and reported to the shift leader or unit managerAttending and participating in review and ward meetings to ensure conformance to QMS audit standardsPerforming, understanding, and complying with the company infection control standards to adhere to PPE standards and proceduresAdhering to safety measuresEnsure optimum operational efficiencies by: Ensuring correct and accurate stock administrationCorrectly reporting patient movements on discharge or transferEnsuring correct and proper usage and maintenance of equipmentMinimizing and justifying personal absenteeismWorking flexible hours to minimize agency costs and assist other departmentsEnsure effective quality patient care by: Performing and completing tasks assigned to maximize patient careEnsuring patient hygiene, comfort, and safety is measured in accordance with the nursing care planFollowing the correct techniques and wearing PPE to promote the healing of wounds and fracturesMonitoring and recording patient intake of fluidsManaging and preparing for surgical and diagnostic proceduresEffective relationship management with customers by: Building and maintaining healthy relationships with internal and external customers and supporting new staff members with the orientation programRequirementsRegistered as an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary with SANCCurrent registration with the relevant professional/regulatory bodyUnderstanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges, and role players (advantageous)Computer proficiencyCompetenciesProblem-solving, analysis, and judgementResilienceEngaging diversityVerbal & written communication and presentationInfluencingDrive & energyExcellence orientationEthical behaviorBuilding relationshipsCustomer responsivenessOrganizational awarenessLeading by example (Key for Managers)Motivating and developing people (Key for Managers)Email: ******
