The candidate: * Fairmont High School is seeking the service of a suitably qualified, preferably experienced and passionate English Home Language educator (Grade 8 -12) to start on 1 January 2025.
Requirements: * University graduate with a teaching qualification to Grade 12 level (post graduate studies in a related field is an advantage).
* Ability to implement effective, innovative teaching strategies to enhance the learning experience.
This includes the use of technology within the classroom, particularly the Google Suite (Classroom, Forms, Sheets and Slides).
* Demonstrated commitment to life-long learning and personal professional development.
* Active involvement in the school extra-mural programme with high awareness of and commitment to the holistic development of learners.
* Commitment to and embodiment of the school's core values of Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence.
The following would be advantageous: * At least 2 years' recent experience of teaching English Home Language up to Matric level.
* Highly regarded subject expert with experience of marking NSC English Home Language papers.
