Engineering Supply Chain Coordinator

Our client, a prestigious turnkey engineering and steel works/fabrication company, seeks to employ a qualified and experienced Engineering Supply Chain Coordinator, with a solid background in the Engineering, Steel Works Fabrication sector, to join their team in Cape Town.Key Requirements For ConsiderationYou will have a tertiary qualification in Supply Chain/Logistics Management, coupled with 3-5 years experience in the receipt of all incoming and outgoing materials, to include raw materials and completed fabrication items.You will have a good understanding of the engineering and/or fabrication process, being able to direct materials to the appropriate areas and fabrication divisions, as well as having experience in maintaining and distributing relevant material certificates.You will have gained experience in tracking projects and planning shipments to meet client requirements, as well as being able to coordinate large volume projects with extremely high volumes of small components.You will have proven experience in dealing with freight forwarders, conducting as a liaison and ensuring smooth operations and delivery/collection of containers and freight vehicles.People leadership is essential and you will have intermediate computer literacy in ERP and Excel.You must have a valid driver's licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record.Please note that should you not be currently resident in the region and area advertised but still wish to apply, the cost of travel for interviews and relocation will be for your expense.Due to the exceptionally high volume of applications, we are unable to correspond with each applicant personally, therefore only relevant and suitable candidates will be contacted.
