Duties & Responsibilities Complete management of engineering / mechanical workshop stores.Issuing, recording, controls and returns of;Internal requisitionsStock management & codesReceiving / returns (sign in / sign outs)Stock checks / levelsEngineering equipmentSparesSmall toolsConsumablesRaw MaterialsPersonal Protective EquipmentPallet controlPlasticsQuantity controlsAdministration controls and recordsStock takes, counts and standby stockReporting to Admin, Procurement & Workshop managementLiaising with suppliersCyclically stock counts, stock levels, vehicle stock, and standby stockMaintain cleanliness and organization of the store area, including shelving, bins, and storage racksAdhere to health and safety regulations and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Desired Experience & Qualification Position related tertiary qualification (adv) + Grade 12 (Matric)Min 3-5 years proven exp in a similar role as an engineering storeman.Industry related experience (Plant / Maintenance / Engineering / Production /Workshop) required.Computer literate (MS Office with strong MS Excel spreadsheet) exp.Contactable / traceable references.Pietermaritzburg residency required.
SKILLS: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keepingExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to lift and move heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.Good communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
