About the job Engineering Specialist #L3VWVV8VINTERNAL AND EXTERNAL ADVERTISEMENT Job Title: Engineering Specialist CLOSING DATE: 22 October 2024 PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Provide technical expertise and ensure the efficient and effective utilisation of allocated resources, processes, and production optimization to achieve production targets in support of mechanised mining processes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: Electrical or Mechanical Foreman Certificate (Law and Standards).Section 13 Trade Test Certificate (Mechanical or Electrical).3 Years Experience as Trackless Engineering Specialist.10 Years Mining Production Experience is essential (Bolter, Drill Rig, Access Rig and LHD).COMPETENCIES: MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Specialist knowledge in relevant technical areasDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Support the achievement of the production and maintenance plan.Oversee that all work practices are executed in compliance with legal requirements.Liaise with Section Engineers to pro-actively identify potential section challenges to ensure optimisation of the sections performance.Contribute to annual functional budget planning by providing input to operational, capex and labour budgets for relevant area and submit to line management for approval.Manage and participate in change management initiatives to drive transformation and optimisation.Provide relevant and specialised technical support to relevant stakeholders to ensure achievement of objectives.Provide input to workforce planning and implement approved labour plans to ensure team is suitably staffed to meet objectives.Plan, organise, lead and control subordinate's activities to ensure objectives are met or exceeded.Assure stable employee relations by managing conflict and creating a positive working environment.Manage the efficient and effective utilisation of resources and optimise systems and processes continuously to ensure production efficiency targets are met.Participate in regular safety meetings and make recommendations to ensure overall safety.If you are interested in applying, please logon to our website: IMPORTANT: Short listed candidates may be subjected to a psychometric assessment.
