preferable but other relevant tertiary qualifications will be considered.Registration as a professional engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) would be advantageous.Minimum 10 years broad-based engineering and manufacturing experience in FMCG or related industries.Minimum 5 years experience at executive/senior level within a matrix organisation as either head of engineering, or head of manufacturing excellence (or similar), or both.Relevant senior management experience in managing a variety of internal and external stakeholders.Willingness to travel extensively.Responsibilities:Develop and drive the implementation of the company's engineering and manufacturing excellence strategy, plans, vision, and goals, and ensure alignment with the overall business strategy.Provide specialist advice to the business pertaining to engineering and manufacturing excellence matters.Provide business partnership and support at an executive team level and within business units, and monitor the implementation of engineering and manufacturing excellence initiatives and priorities.Ensure engineering and manufacturing excellence initiatives are key considerations when planning business activities.Capital planning, prioritisation and allocation of funding as well as capacity planning oversight.Major engineering project scoping, management, and execution (ownership of scope, project management and contractor relationship).Project engagement and oversight (develop and monitor project governance principles and provide oversight).
