Engineering Manager - Mining Industry - R1.56mil - R1milHire Resolve's client in the mining industry is urgently seeking the expertise of an Engineering Manager in Limpopo.ResponsibilitiesExperience in Process Plant, Operation and Maintenance (TMMs, Conveyor Belts, Screening, Milling, Thickening, Hydro cyclone Classification, CIP and CIL, Furnaces, etc.)Provide Engineering Technical Support and Incorporating New TechnologiesProject Management, Design and Construction (Planning, Design, Construction, Commissioning and Handover)Be the Engineering Manager in general charge of machinery and carry a legal appointment in terms of regulation 2.13.1 of Mine Health and Safety Act and Regulations (Act 29 of 1996)Ensure the safe design, installation, operation and maintenance of all machinery and equipmentEnsure the safe design, construction and erection of all structures and buildingsEnsure the effective record keeping of legal registers and logbooks as required by the MHSAEnsure compliance to the provisions of the Mine Health and Safety Act and Regulations (Act 29 of 1996)Responsible for the metallurgical production plant and tailings storage facilities engineering sectionResponsible for all underground and surface operations at the Stibium Mopani MineYour area of responsibility will be as depicted on the plans kept in the Surveyor's office. You need to familiarise yourself with these plans and ensure it correctly reflects your area of responsibilityImplement and maintain standards, procedures, and codes of practiceEnsure effective labour utilization in the engineering department. Manage staff members to ensure effective and safe engineering practices. Implement a performance management system and maintain discipline of staffResponsible for the engineering expenditure and budgeting (Opex and Capex). Maintain and establish a cost system with effective budgets parameters, reconciling of all engineering accounts (e.g., Eskom bill, Invoices and etc.)Ensure the work cycle management is functional and deviations are reviewed i.e., maintenance schedules, works orders & breakdownsDraft and implement a maintenance plan short, medium, and long term inclusive of inspection, log sheets and log books, condition monitoring and planned maintenance shutdownsIdentify value add engineering projects and implement.
