Engineering Manager

RPO Recruitment is currently partnering with a reputable mining company in the Northern Cape to find an experienced Engineering Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong leadership skills and a background in the mining industry. As the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all engineering operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient performance of the mining projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, improve processes, and optimize the use of resources.Responsibilities:Manage and lead a team of engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and supportPlan and coordinate engineering activities to meet project objectives within budget and timelineEnsure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in all engineering operationsCollaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverablesOversee the design, construction, and maintenance of mining infrastructure and equipmentMonitor and evaluate project performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actionsManage budgets, resources, and procurement activities related to engineering projectsStay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in engineering technologyRequirements:Relevant degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or similar fieldGCC Mines and Works certification is essentialMinimum of 8 years of experience in an engineering role within the mining industry5 years' experience in a management positionStrong technical knowledge of mining operations and best practicesProven experience in managing large-scale mining projectsExcellent leadership and team management skillsEffective problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively in a challenging and dynamic environmentBenefits:Salary: NegotiableFamily Leave (Maternity, Paternity)Paid Time Off (PTO) (if applicable)
