What you will do Lead the Durability team within the Data Access sub-department according to GitLab's values and leadership principles Partner with a Product Manager and other engineering teams to ensure a scalable, reliable, performant, and sustainable storage solution for data storage and access patterns Maintain an environment where Team Members can thrive and the team produces Results for Customers Hire and grow an incredible team that lives our values Manage Agile projects Improve the quality, security and performance of the product Participate in the Incident Manager on-call rotation
What you will bring Experience leading SaaS systems, Infrastructure, SRE, or similar teams Experience leading software engineering teams Strong technical background in a relevant field Ability to deep dive into technical issues and translate this to understandable language relevant to an audience of varied technical abilities Experience hiring, coaching, growing, and retaining Engineering talent Deep technical understanding of running SaaS applications and infrastructure at scale Experience leading a team on a large-scale consumer platform Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
