Job Description The PAS Development Lead is responsible for directing and managing the development and implementation of solutions within the organizational platforms. This role involves leading a team of over 20 developers to drive the design, development, and optimization of solutions that align with business objectives and enhance operational efficiency. The PAS Development Lead will oversee the solution development cycle, ensuring that the solutions meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and compliance.
Critical Objectives: Deliver High-Quality Solutions: Ensure the successful design, development, and deployments meet and exceed organizational requirements and industry standards.Optimize System Performance: Continuously evaluate and enhance the performance, reliability, and scalability of the system to support business needs and improve user satisfaction.Align with Strategic Goals: Develop and implement solutions that align with the organization's strategic objectives, driving efficiency and supporting business growth.Lead and Develop the Team: Build and maintain a high-performing development team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to enhance team capabilities and performance.Manage Project Timelines and Budgets: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.Ensure Compliance and Security: Implement and enforce best practices for compliance, security, and data protection within the system, adhering to regulatory requirements and organizational policies.Foster Collaboration and Communication: Promote effective communication and collaboration across teams and with stakeholders to ensure alignment, manage expectations, and facilitate successful project outcomes.Drive Innovation: Identify and implement innovative technologies and methodologies to enhance system functionality and maintain a competitive edge.Responsibilities: Lead Development Efforts: Direct the development and implementation of PAS solutions.Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and support a team of over 20 development professionals, setting clear objectives, providing regular feedback, and fostering a collaborative work environment.Project Management: Allocate resources and oversee project execution to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business units, IT teams, and external partners to gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure the PAS solutions meet their needs.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of development processes (SOP), system configurations, and project status, and provide regular reports to senior management.Innovation Integration: Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements, integrating innovative solutions and practices into PAS development efforts.Experience, Knowledge & Skills Required: Degree in Computer Science or related qualification.8 - 12 years' experience with TIA or related PAS.Experience in Agile Methodology and Safe/Scrum Framework.Exposure to AWS or related cloud infrastructure.Exposure to cost, invoice, and service providers management.Experience working on TIA or related PAS projects for middle market and enterprise size insurance companies preferred.Proven experience in managing and guiding a technical team comprising over 20 members.Experience with RESTful APIs (cookbook and spring boot framework).Experience on cloud event monitoring tools for always-on including reporting, RCA and remediation.Experience with CI/CD.Core Skills: TIA or related PASOracle DB or Related Relational DatabaseInsurance ExposurePL/SQL LanguageAWS or Related Cloud Computing SolutionAgile Methodology (Safe and Scrum Framework)Stakeholder ManagementAdvantageous Skills: Radar LiveAzure DevOpsClosing Date: 01 November 2024
