Engineering Hydrologist

A well established company based in Hilton is seeking an Engineering Hydrologist.Duties:Collaborate on the development of national and regional water balance plans.Assist in assessing water availability, allocation, and distribution.Demonstrated experience in hydrological modeling, water resources planning, flood determination, and water balance analysis.Involved in the development of hydro-informatics systems and hydrological databases.Experience in designing and implementing hydrological gauging networks.Requirements:Matric (Grade 12).BSc Eng (Civil) or BSc Hydrology (Hons): A relevant engineering or hydrology degree.Professional Registration: Current registration as a Professional Natural Scientist (Pr.Sci.Nat) or plans to register as a Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) within the next 3 years.Proficient in using typical modeling systems (ACRU, Pitman, PC SWMM, WRYM, WRPM, HEC-RAS, GoldSim, WEAP, SWAT, Mike modeling, and DSS tools) and GIS for water-related assessments.Experience in multidisciplinary water-related studies, including national and regional water planning studies and individual water infrastructure project feasibility studies.Familiarity with assessing potential impacts of climate change on water resources and supply.Proficient in designing drainage structures.Knowledge of water quality analysis for mining and industrial clients.Skilled in training and capacity building.Computer Literacy: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and MS Project is required. Strong technical skills in AutoCAD, Civil3D, Rubicon, and HDM4.
